WHAT IS ACCESS CONTROL
Access control systems use electronically operated locking devices instead of the traditional lock and key. The control system only allows entry to authorized users who are identified with the use of fobs, tokens, fingerprints, keypads and smart cards.
Access Control systems can be used to control:
Doors |
Windows |
Gates |
Barriers |
Lifts |
|
Properties require different levels of security. All American Technology contractors install a variety of Access Control Systems from simple door entry systems to more complex systems including:
Audio/Video door entry systems |
ARX IP based access control systems |
Electromagnetic locks |
Ground loop readersElectricmagnetic locks |
Smart card readers |
Keypad entry |
|
Access control unlike a normal key if you lose or damage your token/fob, it can easily be eleted from the system and a new token is issued. This is a reliable, safe and cost effective system as it prevents the full change of a lock and key. When keys are lost or stolen, the inconvenience and expense of changing locks can be extensive. Keys may also be copied creating even more security risks.
Security is important in today's changing society. Large properties can use access control systems for protection, monitoring, access limitations and safety. For example:
Hospitals |
Schools |
Offices |
Industrial Premises |
Theaters |
Museums |
Colleges |
Government Agencies |
